What personal information we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam.

An anonymized string made from your email address (this is also called a hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service if you use it. The privacy policy page can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Media

If you are a registered user and upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images that contain EXIF GPS location information. Visitors to the site can download images from the site and view location information.

Contact forms

Personal contact information is recorded when the contact form is completed. This data is stored in our mailbox. Personal contact data is kept for service purposes. Retained contact data is not used for marketing purposes.

Cookies

When you leave a comment on our site, you can indicate whether your name, e-mail address and site may be stored in a cookie. We do this for your convenience so that you do not have to re-enter this information for a new response. These cookies are valid for one year.

Who we share your information with

To make the information you request accessible, we work with third parties. These include a website manager, hosting party, automated telephone connection, newsletter system and administration software. A so-called Processor Agreement has been concluded with all parties involved. Among other things, this agreement ensures the security and timely erasure of your personal data.

How long we keep your data

When you leave a comment, that comment and the metadata of that comment is saved forever. That way we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of having to moderate them.

For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.

Security logs are kept for 60 days.

What rights you have over your data

Where we send your data
