Victims

There are many. Many! Maybe someone lives on your street. Maybe there are multiples in your church. I am just sketching the raw reality. It is a black reality, barely noticed by our blind eyes.

Victims think, initially, that the world they live in is normal. Victims learn from a young age that they are not listened to. They learn that they are not worth the effort. They experience firsthand that speaking is punished. They learn to be quiet. Where is it safe for them, when in this world no one notices them? Where will they find hearing, when they have learned that their speaking is meaningless? How would they dare to speak of their suffering which is so hellish that there are really no words for it? Who….will believe them? One might wonder what kind of people these are then. Actually, they are “ordinary” people. You can’t see anything about them. On the contrary, they are extremely strong. Have a strong survival instinct. They have had to bear and endure a lot. And that goes on and on.

It could be a child just sitting in your child’s class. It looks normal. Damage is not easily seen on the outside. Maybe you can tell by the eyes. Or you may notice, for example, that it has sore feet. That may be because of the injections they receive. Maybe it’s a child who just falls asleep during class. Or it could be “just” a mother bringing her children to school.

Ordinary people in “ordinary” life. But the nights and also the weekends are different for them. On the Friday night it usually begins. From 0.00 to 3.00 they have a ‘special program’. And it goes on and on. With also in between all the nights that it is the full moon. Not to mention the month of October, which leads up to Halloween. A night when babies are sacrificed. And yes, this happens in the Netherlands.

Please don’t close your eyes to this reality. The victims need your prayer, your voice. And your voice edits a world of difference for them.
